Meet Melissa
Melissa Pickett, BSW, RN, LNC, is the owner, lead nurse consultant, and coordinator of Peaceful Views Consulting. With over 14 years of nursing experience, she has worked in long-term acute care, critical care, oncology, wound care, infection control, and cardiac care. Her extensive background includes procedural interventions, moderate sedation, and complex patient management, providing her with the expertise to support attorneys in navigating intricate medical cases.
Having worked in leadership roles for most of her career, Melissa understands the intricacy and expertise required to monitor and coordinate patient care while fostering team growth and development. She has served as a Charge Nurse, Oncology Nurse Navigator, and Lead RN in procedural moderate sedation, implementing protocols, enhancing patient-centered care, and streamlining discharge planning. With a strong background in critical care, oncology, wound care, infection control, and cardiac care, she excels in managing complex cases while improving efficiency and compliance within healthcare teams.
She has been actively involved in policy development, operationalizing processes, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and patient safety. Her expertise extends to procedural interventions, ventilator management, and infection control, ensuring adherence to national compliance standards set forth by JCAHO, OSHA, and AHCA. Melissa has a proven track record of elevating the standard of care, improving workflow efficiency, and ensuring regulatory compliance to support both healthcare teams and legal professionals.
